eToro Affiliate FAQ

1) Who is eToro?
eToro is the most innovative and simple to understand Forex trading platform available today. eToro was launched in 2007 and is the brainchild of three young professionals who wanted to revolutionise the world of Forex Trading. They succeeded and in doing so created the most user friendly and intuitive trading platform in the world.

2) What is Forex?
Forex - (short for Foreign Exchange) is real-time buying of one currency and selling of another. One of the largest trading markets in the world, trading at the Foreign Exchange market allows people to trade one currency for another trying to determine which currency's value will increase by the end of a determined time. For example, one could choose to buy the US Dollar against the Euro in anticipation for a rate change in favor of the US Dollar. Forex is considered the largest financial market in the world with average daily trades currently amassing to over three trillion US Dollars.

To start with, remember that the first currency listed is called the "base currency." A base currency is usually the US dollar. People (traders) will usually pit the USD against another currency – say, for example, a Japanese Yen.

The American dollar is usually considered the base currency for quotes. For example, a quote of USD/JPY 2.34 means that one U.S. dollar is equal to 2.34 Japanese Yen.

When the U.S. dollar is the base unit and a currency quote goes up, it means the dollar has increased in value and the other currency has weakened. If, after the allotted time, the USD/JPY quote is 2.50, then the dollar is stronger because it can buy more Japanese Yen. There are exceptions to the rule, such as the British pound (GBP) or Euro, which would be the base currency if matched against the US Dollar. In this case the American currency is the "weaker" one.

To sum up: if a currency quote goes higher, this increases the value of the base currency. A lower quote means the base currency is weakening.

2) How does the affiliate program work?
The overall principle of the affiliate program is about driving sales. In essence you and your website become "sales agents " for eToro, and you will get paid a commission for every customer that you drive to eToro who sign up to play the simulation game, or who deposits to actually trade currency. You have three options to choose from:

Get paid $2 for every visitor who signs up to play the simulation game. Get paid a flat $100 commission for every visitor who deposits money to trade currency. Get paid a 25% revenue share for any revenue a visitor generates for the lifetime that are a customer of eToro Once you join the eToro Affiliate Program, you will have access to banners and links that you can put on your website. If customers click on those links, they will get directed to the eToro main site, and if they make a sign-up, you will receive a commission for that transaction. The beauty of the eToro affiliate program however, is that the customer does not have to sign-up that same day for you to make your commission. If they return within 60 days of clicking on your link, or if they return to make subsequent purchases, you will also receive a commission for those sales. Of course if you choose the revenue share option, then you will be receiving commission payments for as long as the customer continues to trade with eToro.

3) Does my site qualify for the program?
All sites are welcome, as long as it doesn't promote illegal activities or pornography, nor engages in any deceptive practices, spyware/malware or "cookie stuffing." There are no traffic minimums, so why not give it a try? We encourage anyone to sign up, be it someone just starting out in affiliate marketing, or the professional "super" affiliate.

5) How and when do I get paid?
All commissions shall be paid on the fifteenth day of each month for the previous calendar month. Etoro pays via a variety of method, including bank / wire transfer, Paypal and check. We're open to discussing other methods as well if those don't work for you.

6) What kind of support will I get from the AMWSO / eToro team?
The eToro affiliate program is managed by AMWSO with dedicated professional affiliate manager. The affiliate manager is available any time to answer any questions, help with any advice, or talk about any suggestions or comments you might have.
